ULLAS SHORNUR

An architectural design concept and spatial orientation overview for the residential building by Rahul Construction (Total Area: 2381 Sqft):

Design Concept

  • Massing and Spatial Program: The large contemporary multi-level residence features a total built-up area of 2,381 sq ft, distributed across a ground floor of 1,317 sq ft and a first floor of 1,064 sq ft.

  • Exterior Architecture: The front elevation showcases a modern aesthetic with flat roof overhangs, accent wood-textured panels, textured stone-clad pillars, warm recessed ceiling lighting, and upper-level glass-balustrade balconies.

  • Functional Layout & Zoning: The ground floor contains an entrance sit-out ($2.94 \times 1.56\text{ m}$) leading into a dedicated drawing room ($4.56 \times 4.68\text{ m}$), a central dining area ($4.20 \times 3.90\text{ m}$), a kitchen ($3.06 \times 2.58\text{ m}$), a work area, a pooja room, multiple bedrooms with attached toilets, and a dressing space. The upper floor comprises a spacious hall ($7.86 \times 4.68\text{ m}$), additional bedrooms with attached toilets, an open terrace, and an outdoor balcony ($4.78 \times 1.32\text{ m}$).

Spatial Orientations

  • Indoor-Outdoor Connectivity: The layout integrates transitional outdoor zones through the ground-floor sit-out and the first-floor balcony and open terrace areas.

  • Vertical Integration: An internal staircase connects the ground-floor living core to the upper-level hall, facilitating smooth vertical traffic flow between levels.

  • Fenestration and Ventilation: Perimeter walls are fitted with distributed window units (w2, w3, w4) and ventilation points (KW2, KW3, GL) across multiple facades to enhance natural daylighting and cross-ventilation.
